This coming weekend

This weekend I'm off to Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, about 2 1/2 hours south of Auckland. We're going to visit family friends who live there and I'm really looking forward to it. We're leaving early Fri morning. We haven't caught up with them for ages and I expect the guys will go and play golf or tennis. My friend Helen and I will no doubt end up drinking far too much coffee and talking nineteen to the dozen. They live just to the left of this photo and very close to the beach, so I guess we'll also go for some walks along the beach. It should be great.

So what are you planning to do this weekend? Can you leave a comment to tell me?

Hi Karen

Your plan is wonderful and might have a good time with your family frieds. I have been Tauranga once but I just walked around the city for 3 hours and then left for Whakatane. I really want to go there someday. I hope it will be nice weather. Please tell us what you do there next Monday.

Cheers,

Molly

Hi Molly

The one thing I guarantee is that we will go for a walk round the Mount (Mount Manganui is the hill you can see at the end of the peninsula. Can you see the walking track round the base? It's ages since I climbed to the top! Hope it doesn't rain.

Hi Karen
Gosh - I'm jealous! Looks like a fantastic way to spend a weekend. Here in Scotland I'm hoping it doesn't snow cos on Saturday I'm going to collect my new motorbike from Cupar. Different world, eh?
